Come and stay at the most unique listing in the Appalachian Highlands of North Carolina. Two proud Scottish brothers set out in the 1960s to replicate and honor a Scottish town by starting a development in the hills of North Carolina called Invershiel, now named Tynecastle. You get a distinct experience to step back in time when you walk the grounds of these cottages and lounge inside by the roaring wooden fire.
Welcome to Chateau Dumont! There are 3 cottages surrounding a single courtyard — Through this listing, you will only have access to the Honeymoon Cottage. The Honeymoon Cottage has a gentle slope from the driveway to the front door and there are no steps to access the inside of the cottage. Inside, you will find one bedroom with a King size bed, ensuite full bathroom with a step-in shower, full kitchen, living room with a smart tv and wood burning fireplace, large dining table, and a washer/dryer.
As previously mentioned, there is a shared courtyard between this cottage and our other two cottages. Located in the courtyard is a shared fire pit and several seating / dining areas. Behind the largest cottage, the Highland, you will find a luscious yard that you and your furry friends may enjoy. The yard is not fenced so be sure to pack your leashes.
