Positive: We had 8 people and (2 dogs) from our family, all adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Beds were very comfortable as was the furniture. The home was well provisioned! I thought I would need to bring items from my kitchen and perhaps some extra bedding, but we didn't need anything. We had all adults with us, but they are prepared for younger kids, everything from books and toys to kid sized hangers in the closet and a booster seat! The dining room sat all of us, and when we were in the kitchen, there was room for us to sit at the table or counter and chat as we prepared meals. Really nice pots and pans and plenty of dishes, cooking and eating utensils, etc. The gas bbq was awesome! Clean and fit all 8 of our rib eyes, and reached high temps for a great sear. The hot tub was ready for us when we arrived. Beautiful view. The leather recliners and couches in the living room were very comfortable, and the perfect place to sit and talk. The game room was my favorite place. My 89 year old father was very happy playing pool with his adult grandchildren. The theater room was amazing too. Sadly we had a hiccup with the projector not working for our stay, but we were given a $200+ refund as a gesture of apology. The owners and Avant Stay took good care of us. And there was still so much to be grateful for about this place. The neighborhood was very quiet, which we appreciated. Sunsets were spectacular! A mile and a half to the beach access. Tide pools were beautiful. There were lots of places on this beautiful island that we could visit, but our goal was to spend time together, not sight see, so this house was perfect for us. It had more things here than I can list! It had everything we needed and more for a fun, beautiful, restful stay.
Negative: The only thing I would caution people about is that if they bring small children, there is quite an impressive cliff that the house sits on. There is a decorative wire fence that at least gives some sense of safety, but I am not sure I would feel safe with young children. That said, the inside of the house is well provisioned for them, so as long as you keep an eye, it could still work.
Summary: We are grateful for the precious time with family this home afforded for us. Beautiful memories were made!
