ARTful RV with gardens and trees, near city. Vegetarian/non-smoking. | House in Tukwila
1 Bedroom House in Tukwila
This RV has an artistic and colorful interior reflective of our personal taste... it is very unique with lots of clashing colors and patterns. And we like weird art.
It has one bedroom with a king size bed and a privacy curtain, it also has a day bed that could be used for sleeping.
Vegetarian kitchen. There's a full kitchen with microwave and we have a strict no-meat policy. To be clear; no cooking meat, no fish, no chicken allowed to prevent smells from permeating the interior. Also, no delivery meals that contain meat can be brought on board.
As a personal chef, I can negotiate meal prep for an additional fee.
On the subject of smells… if you tend toward HEAVY perfume and cologne… please don’t. You may not realize how much of you you leave behind, but it’s a lot, and it’s extremely laborious to erase.
For our scent-sitive guests… we see you. While we're not 100% scent-free, we keep it odor free.
There's a very small shower in the VERY SMALL bathroom with a hint of a tub that’s good for a foot soak, but not much else. The hot water heater only holds five gallons of hot water at a time so… timing is everything.
The RV is an older model, 2007, but we keep it very clean and cozy, just know that there is usual wear from many years of use.
The RV sits on our half acre property surrounded by cedar trees and gardens which we open to guests.
We offer a fire pit on the back end of the property and there is a private sunbathing/cold water soaking tub area for hot afternoons and a meditation/yoga room for relaxing and centering. Nothing too fancy, just good spaces to relax, nap and unwind.
We are working on improving WiFi. It exists, but it’s slow. There are spots on the property where it’s better than onboard the RV.
We are on the river, surrounded by nature and it’s very peaceful, but this is a city. We live under a flight path, private jets and small planes can be heard occasionally throughout the day. We love them. We also live by a park, so music can be heard on some weekend afternoons. All things considered, it's a deeply peaceful place in a beautiful setting. There are also lots of chirping birds, it’s a veritable cacophony at times. Our guests tell us that they have the best sleep of their lives on the RV, but I want to be realistic about the setting.
ALSO, our neighborhood does not have easy access to public transportation. There is a parking space for a car, possibly two.
Our neighborhood: There is a paved path that extends for MILES in both directions and we have so many beautiful parks along the river.
5 minutes north is the Georgetown neighborhood that is bursting with great restaurants, taverns, wine rooms, art galleries, summer festivals and MORE.
The Museum of Flight is about a mile away and is one of our favorites.
Southcenter Mall is about 12 minutes south of us in the shopping district where you can find grocery stores and many restaurants.
We also have hiking trails within 20-30 minutes of us in any direction along with a plethora of options for nature lovers. We'd be happy to share our favorite hiking/biking trails.
West Seattle is a 20 minute drive and offers shopping, restaurants, lots of great parks and the ever-popular Alki Beach, a hot spot for tourists and locals alike.
We’re 15 minutes from downtown depending on traffic.
And I know that the larger majority of people are respectful and will be great guests, we just have to state the rules clearly for those who are less civilized.
-We have two 20-pound dogs. They are friendly and adorable, but any dog-fearing folks or people with allergies might not be comfortable here.
-No guests, no parties. 2 people only.
-No illegal activity. Sorry.
-No smokers or vapers. The smell clings to you... whether you notice it or not.
-No meat, chicken or fish on the RV.
